Zhang Xian'an has been engaged in clinical practice in plastic surgery, aesthetic surgery, and burn surgery for 36 years. He worked in the Department of Plastic and Burn Surgery at the Affiliated Hospital of Luzhou Medical College for nearly 10 years and completed a one-year fellowship in plastic and aesthetic surgery at the Plastic Surgery Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and Peking Union Medical College (Badachu Plastic Surgery Hospital), and has extensive clinical experience. He specializes in plastic and functional reconstruction of various congenital and acquired defects and deformities, reconstruction of body surface organs, various scar revisions, and early and late repair and reconstruction of hand injuries. He also specializes in comprehensive aesthetic plastic surgery of the facial features; aesthetic plastic surgery of the breast and genitalia; minimally invasive facial rejuvenation and liposuction contouring; minimally invasive treatment of axillary osmidrosis; and the diagnosis and treatment of body surface tumors. He is skilled in the diagnosis and treatment of various burns and scalds and their complications and comorbidities. He has presided over and completed 3 research projects funded by provincial departments and the municipal Science and Technology Bureau, and has published 30 academic papers in professional journals. He has received municipal Science and Technology Progress Awards and Excellent Paper Awards.
